What are sensitive teeth?
Or let me rephrase the question: how do sensitive teeth feel?
If you avoid hot or cold drinks because they will hurt your teeth, this is a sign that you have sensitive teeth. If you breathe cold air, and one way or another, your teeth react to that. Or, if certain foods make your teeth uncomfortable, this can be a sign of tooth sensitivity.
You should not feel discomfort after eating or drinking.
Once you realize that you have sensitive teeth, you need an electric toothbrush that soothes your teeth and helps you recover.
Many people find it difficult to find the right toothbrush for sensitive teeth. When using a toothbrush, some people further damage their already sensitive teeth.
The good news is that you do not have to worry about that. After reading this review, you will no longer cause any damage to the teeth. You will discover the five best electric toothbrushes for sensitive teeth.

You will get three amazing brush heads with the purchase of this toothbrush. All you have to do to use the toothbrush is to press the power button, and the unit will start working immediately.
The smart sensors built into this toothbrush help you simplify brushing. The sensors tell you where you brushed. And most importantly, they also tell you where you missed.
What could be improved?
Although the toothbrush itself is incredibly good, the same can not be said of the travel bag that goes with it. Of course, you should worry less about the deal.

What could be improved?
The major disadvantage of this electric toothbrush is that its battery does not last long enough compared to other electric toothbrushes.

What could be improved?
This toothbrush contains the word “platinum” for a reason. Maybe because it does a good job. But I consider the Philips Sonicare Flexcare Platinum electric toothbrush to be one of the most expensive toothbrushes on the market.
Philips Sonicare could argue that it is an excellent toothbrush, but it would be good if they reduce the price of the toothbrush a bit.
If the price is not a problem for you and you want a high-quality electric toothbrush for your sensitive teeth, this toothbrush is for you.

What could be better?
This toothbrush has so many features that new users are often confused. When you check the instructions provided with the toothbrush, very few paragraphs are written on each feature.
A new beginner will be so confused that he will not know where to start. I often use simple features. I agree with one or two features. Sometimes I visit the product page online to learn more about other features that may interest me.
I would like Oral-B to write a little more about each feature of the instruction provided with the package.
Note that there is no problem with the toothbrush. It works well.

You may be surprised that this is another Oral-B toothbrush.
Oral-B manufactures the best toothbrushes in the world.
The brand has existed since 1950, so you can understand why. People trust Oral-B because it is one of the best oral hygiene products in the world.
The Oral-B Pro 5000 electric toothbrush is cheaper than the 7000 and 8000 series and is also suitable for sensitive teeth. In fact, most people buy the Oral-B Pro 5000 electric toothbrush more than others because it is more affordable than these two.
The toothbrush uses Bluetooth communication to provide you with real-time information about brushing. It also features pressure sensor technology that alerts you when brushing too hard with the toothbrush.
The Oral-B Pro 5000 electric toothbrush has five brushing modes. These are daily cleanings, care of the gums, sensitive, whitening and deep cleansed. You will not be disappointed with the experience you will get from these modes.
The toothbrush removes more plaque than any manual or ordinary toothbrush.
If you’re looking for the best toothbrush for sensitive teeth, I’m 99.9% certain that you’ll love the Oral-B Pro 5000 electric toothbrush. The toothbrush will leave your teeth whiter and your gums healthier.
Over time, you will feel less sensitivity in your teeth.
Most dentists recommend the Oral-B Pro 5000 Electric Toothbrush because it is affordable and does its job with ease. If you do not really care about a lot of features and just want something that cleans your sensitive teeth and your gums back, then do not hesitate to choose this electric toothbrush.
After purchasing this toothbrush, you will immediately notice the obvious difference between manual brushing and an electric toothbrush.
Most newcomers to Philips Sonicare toothbrushes often purchase this version before considering using one of these electric toothbrushes. There are also people who have been using the 5000 version for years and are happy with the deep cleaning it gives them. It’s up to you whether you want to upgrade later or not.
The toothbrush also has a 2-minute timer that allows you to brush every part of your teeth within the time recommended by the dentist. There is absolutely nothing wrong with starting with the Oral-B 5000 Electric Toothbrush. I consider the best electric toothbrush for sensitive teeth.
What could be better?
The battery is a major problem with this toothbrush. It takes 24 hours to fully charge and lasts only a week. This means that you have to charge the battery every week.
Despite this, I think the Oral-B 5000 electric toothbrush is the best option available to date. You can not compare the results to those of manual brushing.
- Comfortable fit and handle which allows the user to easily use and maneuver the brush
- Offers several modes which make it perfect for those with varying oral health
- Must a timer to ensure that the optimal amount of time is spent brushing your teeth
- Must feedback regarding pressure used
- Cheaper when related to newer Oral-B models, has similar features
- More expensive than similar models of other brands
Colgate’s newest electric toothbrush isn’t like your regular electric toothbrush.
The Colgate Pro A1500 Rechargeable electric toothbrush uses superior cleaning technology to remove plaque in several ways for healthful results.
Oh sure, it can take various heads, designed to catch different sensitivities of teeth, and it still uses an accelerated up-down motion from an electric motor to drive everything, working at a rate of up to 32,500 strokes per minute, but there’s more to it than that.
The toothbrush also features smart sensors that automatically change the speed and direction of the brush strokes so you get excellent cleaning and care for your teeth and gums.
The A1500 provides deep interdental cleaning and polishes teeth to remove stains. What’s more, the A1500 features a 2-minute timer and 30-second pacer so you can keep in check with your cleaning routine.
The toothbrush also features extra brushing modes. As well as the sensitive side-to-side strokes for teeth, the toothbrush has a mid-speed mode for massaging strokes for the gum line and fast up-down strokes for molars.
For beginners, this toothbrush has sensors to change the motion based on the position you’re holding the toothbrush, which consequently affects what teeth you’re brushing.
Three modes are built into the unit for brushing.
The Colgate Pro A1500 comes with its very own travel case.
- Greatly lightweight and balanced. I like the shape of the Pro A1500. It is sleek, slim and feather light.
- The toothbrush head is a similar shape to a non-electric toothbrush, but smaller in size, which I really like. It also has an angled neck making it easier to reach the back teeth surfaces.
- The bristles are a mix of tapered outer bristles, inner bristles, and spiral bristles. The tapered and fine bristles tickle on the first use.
- It comes with enough battery power to clean your teeth as soon as you get home, this is a nice touch. You then plug-in the toothbrush for 16 hours to completely charge the battery.
- It doesn’t work like a standard electric toothbrush. You have to re-learn how to clean your teeth. But, when you master the angles and speeds you will clean your teeth more effectively than before.
- It is noisy. Super-sonic noisy. Not at all relaxing. This is my biggest complaint but I’m sure they will overcome this as they refine the product.
- If you are tired and not thinking about how you are holding the toothbrush it is easy to miss areas of plaque./li>
I think the Oral-B Pro 3 3000 drives a good balance among the budget range and more expensive electric toothbrushes. The travel case and corrected battery life of 1 week mean the Oral-B Pro 3 3000 represents good value for money.
The Oral-B Pro 3000 comes ram packed with features for a cheap mid-range electric toothbrush
Ensure a thorough safe clean using visual pressure indicators which will light up to alert you. If you are brushing too hard, preventing tooth damage.
It has a take 2-minute timer which is an on handle timer that “hums” every 30 seconds to indicate when you should be improving areas of your mouth. When you have brushed for 2 minutes, it will double “buzz”. This lets you know when you have brushed for the dentist-recommended 2 minutes.
Oral-B 3D movement cleaning system oscillates, rotates and pulsates to break up and remove more plaque than a regular manual toothbrush
Oral-b 3D rechargeable with 3 premium features plus Daily clean: Gum Care, Sensitive, Whitening and Daily clean
when you brush too hard with pressure sensor alert.

It does too offer ‘Gum Care’ mode which means this brush is suitable for those who have slightly more advanced oral health care needs and where a standard daily clean may not always be appropriate.
- A slim profile – The Pro 3000 is easy to use a brush that fits comfortably in the hand irrespective of your age and movement in your fingers. Well designed shapes and rubber grip stop the brush from sliding when open.

- Timer – There is no physical timer or illumination to tell you to change quadrant or that the clean is complete
On the outside, you can’t help but question if it’s worth using this kind of money on a toothbrush when there are so many great options to choose from. When it comes to the Oral-B Genius 9000, the answer is yes – it is!
The toothbrush itself is impressive to look at, with predominantly white color design and plenty of lights to brighten things up.
The head of the Oral-B replacement brush display a professionally-inspired modern and functional design that entirely covers each tooth. The powerful movement of 3D cleaning action helps the brush head change to your teeth as it rotates, vibrates and reels to break up and eliminate up to 100% more dirt and stains than a normal manual toothbrush.
Becoming an electric toothbrush is one thing, using it to maximum effect is something different. The Oral-B Genius 9000 aims to solve that problem, with on-brush feedback to let you know when you’re applying too much pressure and an app that gives tips on how to use your toothbrush properly.

The top causes of teeth sensitivity
Tooth sensitivity is a common problem that affects many people around the world. The use of an electric toothbrush will help you get rid of the sensitivity of the teeth. But you must also know the main causes of tooth sensitivity to help you get rid of it faster.
Here are the seven main causes:
You brush too hard, or you use hard bristles
Brushing too hard is bad for your teeth. Some people brush too hard because they are so determined to kill bacteria and make their teeth whiter. But it does not work that way.
It takes a while to clean your teeth. Healthier teeth are the result of daily brushing – morning and evening. It does not take an instant brush to clear the accumulated plaque for days, weeks, months or even years.
The use of hard-bristle toothbrushes is another major reason for tooth sensitivity. I’ll say it’s almost the same thing as brushing too hard.
You use teeth-whitening toothpaste that is made with bad chemicals
Tooth whitening toothpaste contains harsh chemicals that are harmful to your teeth. Chemical ingredients such as triclosan, fluoride, diethanolamine, and sodium lauryl sulfate affect your oral health.
These whitening chemicals persist in the mouth and teeth long after brushing. They are always there and dangerous.
If your toothpaste contains whitening agents, it’s time to stop using it. Even an electric toothbrush will not help much to remove the sensitivity if you continue to use this type of toothpaste.
You use a mouthwash that contains alcohol
Alcohol is a common ingredient in most over-the-counter mouthwashes. Alcohol is bad for your teeth.
Too much alcohol in your mouthwash will only increase the sensitivity of your teeth. Try mouthwashes made with more natural ingredients. They tend to be better than mouthwashes made with alcohol.
Flossing and brushing help you remove plaque from your teeth. You should know that some foods will stay between your teeth. If the food stays there for a long time, it becomes a plate.
Over time, if you do not brush twice a day and do not floss regularly, dental plaque under your teeth will begin to form. Plaque buildup is a serious dental problem.
This means that the bacteria are under your teeth and that your teeth can begin to feel a certain sensitivity.
There’s decay around the edges of your teeth
If you do not brush regularly, some of your teeth will start to lose their firmness. The tooth may weaken slowly. You will begin to feel some discomfort there.
It is difficult to heal a rotting tooth. Most of the time, the teeth must be removed and can be replaced if you still want something.
Decayed teeth are common in older people who do not brush their hair twice a day.
The presence of gum recession is a clear sign that you suffer from periodontal disease. Most diseases result from bacterial proliferation in the teeth.
The proliferation of bacteria occurs when you do not brush regularly or rarely. It will be difficult for an electric toothbrush to help you heal from the gum recession.
However, getting the right electric toothbrush will be much more useful for your healing process than a manual toothbrush.
You eat acidic food
Some foods are not only good for teeth. Eating them can be healthy, but overconsumption can lead to sensitive teeth.
Acidic foods are bad for the teeth. Common acid foods are tomato sauce, lemon, grapefruit, kiwi and pickles. All these acidic foods can cause discomfort to the teeth.
Avoid eating them. In addition, you should not eat them alone when you do it. I will advise you to eat them with other foods.
The main features you should look for when buying a toothbrush for sensitive teeth
Most new electric toothbrushes offer many amazing features. However, too many features can be problematic. This could make the toothbrush even more difficult to use.
You only need a few basic features. These features are the ones you really need to reduce and possibly eliminate tooth sensitivity.
So, what are these features?
A good electric toothbrush must have a pressure sensor that warns you when you brush excessively. The pressure sensor warns you that you are starting to apply too much pressure to your teeth.
This is something you will never get from a manual toothbrush.
The pressure sensor is a key feature that you should always look for in an electric toothbrush. All the toothbrushes I examined above have pressure sensors.
A number of brushing modes
As you may know, there are different types of brushing styles. We know Some styles are perfect for sensitive teeth. Some are good for deep cleaning. Some are perfect for whitening teeth.
Well, in electric toothbrushes, they are called brushing modes. You choose the brushing mode with which your mouth and teeth are more comfortable.
If you have sensitive teeth, most electric toothbrushes offer sensitive mode. Make sure the Sensitive mode is available before buying the toothbrush.
Large electric toothbrushes can produce up to 31,000 strokes per minute. For some, it’s about 20,000 shots per minute.
The higher the intensity level chosen, the greater the number of strokes.
Just like brushing modes, there should be an option to choose your preferred intensity level.
Soft brush heads
There are three types of brush heads: soft, medium and hard. I will advise you to stay away from hard brush heads. Buying a hard brush will result in excessive brushing that will not help your sensitive teeth
I am a big fan of soft brush heads. You rarely rub it, and it’s easy for your mouth to adapt to it.
If you think that soft is too sweet for you, you should buy medium brush heads. There is also cool too – just a little more firm.
Dentists usually recommend brushing your teeth for 2 minutes and doing it twice a day. The timer is very important when you want to brush habits twice a day.
At least you know that nothing less than 5 minutes a day to have cooler and cleaner teeth.
Check the package to see if the two-minute timer option is available. If this is not the case, there is no point in buying the electric toothbrush.
All the best toothbrushes listed above have a two-minute timer.
The five incredible toothbrushes I took the time to research and write are the best electric toothbrushes for sensitive teeth. Remember that there are many toothbrushes on the market, but many of them are not good for you.
You now know the toothbrushes that you should use for your sensitive teeth.
